What the CSV Cleaner can do
Each cleaning step shows what it will change before you apply it, and can be undone. Try the identifier sample.
- Remove repeated rows
- Find duplicates across all columns or only the ones you choose, and keep the first or last copy.
- Remove empty rows and columns
- Drop rows and columns that contain nothing but spaces. You see which ones before anything changes.
- Tidy spacing
- Trim spaces at the start and end of cells and collapse repeated spaces inside them.
- Split a column
- Turn “Smith, John” or an address into separate columns using a delimiter you pick.
- Merge columns
- Combine first and last name, or any columns, with a separator of your choice.
- Find and replace
- Replace text in all cells or selected columns, with a count of what will change.
- Protect identifiers
- Spot postcodes, SKUs and barcodes that Excel may change. Restore leading zeros when you know the intended length, and inspect scientific notation.

Your data stays on your device
The CSV Cleaner reads your file with code that runs in your browser. The file contents are not sent to a Riluko server because the site has no upload feature and no database.
Nothing you load is saved between visits. Close or reload the page and the data is gone, and the “Clear data” button removes it immediately.
